Bees and Sunsets at Blythe C.A.

While sitting outside reading a book and enjoying the sunshine, our attention was suddenly diverted by a unique sound rolling across the desert towards us. As the sound moved closer it increased in intensity and we were able to identify the source. The sky turned darker as tens of thousands of bees flew past us and swarmed onto a tree branch some 25 feet from our motorhome.

At 10 o'clock the next morning the Bees abruptly left and continued their journey.

The swarm passed right over us as they left.

Very short Quicktime movie showing the Bees departing

The sunsets at the Midland B.L.M. north of Blythe C.A. are nothing short of spectacular.
